When Israel responded to God, he heard and responded to them. Think about Assyria. They were the wicked of the wicked. Jonah the reluctant prophet of God preached repentance to them. They responded and God spared judgement. Oddly Jonah watched anticipating fire and brimstone.
We have a Savior full of grace and truth. Do you morn and cry for the abominations done in our day. Trust God there is hope. God saves and protects. Examine Ezekiel 9:4. Jerusalem was in a sad state.
